Jackson Hole boasts four award winning golf and tennis facilities, set against beautiful mountain backdrops with the Tetons visible as scenic distractions for virtually every moment on the course/court. During the winter season, our golf courses become cross country ski trails for year round enjoyment.
Teton Pines Resort/Golf and Country Club – Jackson Hole/West Bank North
The centerpiece of the resort is the 18-hole golf course, designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, which offers challenging play in spectacular scenery. Six sets of tee boxes ranging from 5,400 yards to 7,400 yards offer golfers of all abilities a chance to maximize their enjoyment and appreciation of the golf course. Tennis buffs have a choice of two clay and six latexite hard courts, five of which are covered over during the winter for indoor play. The resort also has a swimming pool, a clubhouse, men’s and women’s locker rooms, cross-country skiing on the golf course in winter and fly fishing. A county pathway along the Moose-Wilson Road is great for biking, running, walking and inline skating.
Shooting Star™ – Jackson Hole/Teton Village
Located at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Shooting Star’s Tom Fazio designed an 18-hole golf course in harmony with nature. Tom believes, “Golf courses should reflect the natural beauty of the setting. Wildlife is part of our natural environment, so we should protect it.”
When first visiting the area, Tom was asked, “How many great holes must a course have?” Without hesitation he replied, “Eighteen. And every one has to be memorable.” In addition to the Tom Fazio designed golf course, residents and members can enjoy the year-round clubhouse that includes a dining room and bar, men’s and women’s locker rooms with relaxing lounges, an expansive variety of fitness facilities, a luxurious spa, and the Alpine Barn that provides ski and snowboard lockers with concierge services that connect directly to the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The Barn also incorporates children’s activities and is a unique venue for social events with its own catering kitchen.
3 Creek Ranch – Jackson Hole/South of Town
This 18-hole course, designed by Rees Jones, ranked in Golf Digest as one of America’s best new private golf courses. Golf Living magazine has listed it as one of the “Ten Places Everyone is Talking About.” Travel + Leisure Golf magazine named the community’s Rees Jones-designed golf course one of the “Top Ten Best New Courses.” And Travel + Leisure put 3 Creek in the No. 9 spot on its list of “Top 100 Golf Courses,” saying “Rees Jones worked just a hint of European formalism into the Teton landscape to create a handsome, hardy golf course that complements 3 Creek’s easygoing excellence.” 3 Creek is a private course, and membership brings access to a brand-new clubhouse, fitness center, spa and heated outdoor pool.
Jackson Hole Golf &Tennis – Jackson Hole/North of Town
The valley’s first golf course, an 18-hole course, recently completed a $15 million upgrade, designed by Robert Trent Jones II. Improvements include a new practice facility and driving range and a new fleet of Club cars. And after implementing an environmental plan for wildlife management, water conservation and a reduction in the use of chemicals, the course is now a certified member of Audubon International’s Cooperative Sanctuary Program. The Club also features a Western-style clubhouse with a modern fitness center and a private events patio, a new tennis and pool complex, and a bistro.
Huntsman Springs – Teton Valley, Idaho
As the most awarded new course in the United States, Huntsman Springs was recently named #1 Golf Development of the Year by Golf Inc. Magazine. This championship course was custom designed by Golf Architect of the Year, David McLay Kidd. Huntsman Springs is about a 40 minute drive over Teton Pass from Jackson Hole, in the heart of Teton Valley, Idaho with breathtaking Teton Mountain views.
